You
will never see a more stunning Europa and the Bull.  The
power of this piece is overwhelming.  The quality is unsurpassed in
interpretation and execution.  This is a fairly large piece weighing 30
pounds
.
With the larger size, we were able to incorporate a great deal of detail.
It is cast in bronze using the traditional Lost Wax Process
that dates back over a thousand years. The layers of patina add dynamics to
the overall composition. We spend a great deal of time waxing and buffing
so that the finished product is stunningly elegant. The black marble base
is covered with black velvet.

In Greek
mythology, Europa was a Phoenician princess who was abducted by Zeus in
bull form and taken to the island of Crete, where she gave birth to Minos.
For Homer, Europé (Greek: Ευρωπη see also
List of traditional Greek place names) was a mythological queen of Crete,
not a geographical designation. Later Europa stood for mainland Greece, and
by 500 BC its meaning had been extended to lands to the north.
